I know I will never be the same again after this, I hope his child never experiences the pain he inflicted on me. The emptiness, the feeling of being utterly worthless, the profound sense of betrayal – these are scars that will never fully fade.
Curiosity kills, to the extent that you sometimes want to sleep and no longer wake up because of pain. It took me years before I could finally get up and say I was healed. Lesson learned? Nah, more like scars I earned...
And the lingering question: how could someone I loved so deeply inflict such pain? How could someone so genuine have to suffer pain for their sincerity?
